PRACTICES THAT HAVE HELPED ME
These are the practices I've applied to my daily, weekly, monthly life. The important thing to remember is that the awakening process is a JOURNEY and there is no real destination to get to, except to EXPERIENCE more JOY and PEACE inside. What I call Paradise!
DAILY PRACTICES:
(Morning)
Move the body – YOGA, DANCE, WALK (awaken your energy, raise your vibration)
Journal/free-form writing – In the book, The Artist’s Way, it is recommended to write three pages each morning with the intention to get all the crazy, wild, fearful or nonsense thoughts out of our system. This practice clears the way for you to focus on what you want to Create that day (week, month year). If a lot of negative emotions come out on the page, first know, that is a great thing! Second, once you’ve released the emotion on the page, destroy it (burn it, shred it), you will want to release that energy from your space.
Read inspiring/spiritual material (see book list)
Meditate – for at least 5 min (increase this over time, ideally to 30min or more)
(Bedtime)
Practice gratitude – review your day/life and list all the things you are grateful for. I encourage you to also look at any challenges you’ve experienced as something to be grateful for. Challenges always teach us something about ourselves.
Set intentions for a restful sleep and for a fulfilling next day. You can be specific about what you want.
WEEKLY/MONTHLY PRACTICES:
Give your creativity a voice! (click here for example) This practice keeps life in BALANCE. It can dissipate any experience of “burn our” and provide an opportunity for you continue to succeed in your career, while feeling at peace inside.
Get a Massage (or any other form of Self-Care). Honoring yourself with regular self-care will create a beautiful relationship with your physical form (body), and your body will start to fully support you in achieving your desires (instead of work against you).
